A geneology of my Great Grandmothers Family

6. Links back from The Smart Family

Although fairly tenuous, using both male and female descendants, there is a link back to the Plantagenet line of Kings of England. This tree was originally traced by John Green, a relative of Frances Smart (who married John Page, Elsie Oldnall Pages father). A copy was obtained from Caroline Page (Draycott) and checked using a very useful website http://www.thepeerage.com

In fact, once back to Edward IV it could be argued that the line could be traced back further but that line is well established and documented (see the above website). This tree starts therefore with the first direct link to the Plantagenets and is copied wholesale from the above website, although it correlates very closely with the paper version created some time ago.

In my main history document I have in fact documented the tree back to William I and if you want all these details please contact me and I will send you a copy.
